Ypsilanti Jaycees' 10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Marshmallow Drop

Saturday, 27 March 2010, 9:00am - 12:00pm Frog Island Park,Ypsilanti

Bring your children to the Frog Island Park, Saturday, March 27, 9:00 a.m.  The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.  Capture the marshmallows droped from a helicopter to return for prizes.

Over 400 cars--antique, custom and hot rod--are on display in Ypsilanti's Riverside Park. Kick-off party, Saturday, May 1 in Depot Town. Sunday, May 2 the gates open for registration at 9:00 a.m. This show appeals to all levels from the novice to the serious auto buff.

Fashion On Location, Cross St., Ypsilanti

Sunday, 16 May 2010, 10:00am - 5:00pm

This one-day workshop will cover techniques used to create fashion photographs similar to those found in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Glamour, etc.  Depot Town has a  number of antique shops, and local cafes, plus a train station, complete with a caboose, that make it wonderfully rich for shooting backgrounds.  You will learn to use reflectors, syncro-sunlight fill flass, and many other techniques.  35mm medium format or digital camera are welcome.  10-5pm

 

Ypsilanti's annual Memorial Day Parade

Ypsilanti's annual Memorial Day Parade, May 25  begins at 9:00 a.m. Featuring local school bands, govenment dignataries the parade honors our current and previous service men and women. The route begins on North Huron Street, to East Cross Street and ends at Highland Cemetary on River St.

 

Ypsilanti Symphony Pops Concert, "Afternoon at the Drive-in", Riveside Park, Ypsilanti

Saturday, 29 May 2010, 2:00pm - 3:30pm

An afternoon of live music performed in Riverside Park. Sponsored by Target, this concert will feature film favorites and appeal to all ages. Tickets: Adults-$10.00; Seniors, Students w/ID and Children under 12-$5. (WCC students free w/ID). Saturday, May 29. 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Park (rain date, 5/30/10).

 

14th Annual Orphan Car Show

Sunday, 06 June 2010, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Attracting nearly 400 vehicles, this unique show features cars no longer produced and offers a perspective on the historical, the original and the quirky automotive designs developed in the past.  Learn about these vehicles and their history.  The event is free and open to the public.  June 6, Riverside Park, Ypsilanti.

Michigan ElvisFest, Ypsilanti

Michigan Roots Jamboree
August 6-7, 2010

In its second year, the Michigan Roots Jamboree hopes to swell in size and fun! This event will be held in Riverside Park in HIstoric Depot Town, Ypsilanti. This is a family friendly event featuring live music, camping, a children's tent, locally sourced food and beer, and 30 artisans filling arts and craft booths.

Heritage Festival of Ypsilanti, Riverside Park

Annual Fire Truck Muster, Ypsilanti
