2009 was an exciting year for the Depot Town Community Development Corporation and the City of Ypsilanti. The Depot Town CDC is devoted to funding the city's comprehensive plan, funding and improving the parks, Depot Town and the rest of the community. The Depot Town CDC established new conceptual site plans for both Frog Island and Riverside Parks along with a capital improvement budget for the related projects.These concepts were incorporated into Ypsilanti's master plan.
